2415 – Mechanical Engineer II
Job Description:
A highly respected engineering firm in the Mid-Willamette Valley is hiring experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage multiple projects at multiple industrial customers. The Mechanical Engineer will be the owner of capital and major maintenance projects including scope, schedule and budget while working with a project team. The Mechanical Engineer will also be a key project team member for engineering design and construction phases for multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work safely in an industrial environment
- Lead the Project Team to manage projects from concept to completion
- Collaborate with the Project Team to refine the project scope to meet the customers needs
- Develop bid packages for mechanical contractors to provide estimates for required scope of work.
- Develop cost estimates and finalize the project budget
- Establish and maintain the project schedule to meet customers needs
- Work with stakeholders to confirm project justification and achieve project funding
- Manage a multi-discipline Project Team of engineers, drafters, equipment suppliers, contractors, supervisors and other stake holders.
- Review and approve design documents and drawings for accuracy and compliance with project scope.
- Manage installation and start up of equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Communicate effectively will a wide variety of stakeholders from an operator to the facility president.
- Effectively execute multiple projects ranging from small to medium.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of technical experience in a fast paced industrial environment with shutdown critical manufacturing processes. Previous experience should include some of the responsibilities listed above.
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or other related field. Consideration may be given to candidates without degrees depending on technical knowledge and previous project management experiences.
Preferences:
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or interest in passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within one year
